PUBLIC NOTICE- Reids Flat Landfill Facility

Due to the discovery of asbestos on site, Council will be temporarily supervising disposal to ensure public safety.  Council is working with NSW EPA and Asbestos specialists to clean up the site, and will be investigating measures to prevent future illegal disposal.

ROAD CLOSURE- TARRANTS GAP ROAD 11-30 JUNE 2019

Under the Roads to Recovery Program, Hilltops Council has received funding for the upgrade of the causeway over Maryamma creek on the Tarrant’s Gap Rd approximately 2.8km from the Darby’s Falls Rd intersection.

Temporary closure of Bundarbo Bridge Jugiong

As part of the Federal Government’s Bridges Renewal Program, Hilltops Council are contracting geotechnical investigations to inform designs for a replacement of the Bundarbo Bridge. To allow for these investigations to safely take place Bundarbo Bridge will be closed from 5pm Friday 31st May until late Sunday 2nd June.

Variety Livvi’s Place Playspace for Tresillian Park

The concept design for the exciting new inclusive playspace at Tresillian Park was launched today. The ‘Variety Livvis’s Place’ which has been designed in partnership with Variety - the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT, aims to provide an inclusive play experience and offers a range of play options including a flying fox, sand play area, accessible spinner and climbing fort.

The search is on for past Cherry Queens and Cherry Kings

All participants in the Cherry Queen and Cherry King competition, since the first days of the National Cherry Festival, are being asked to take part in a gala 70th anniversary celebration to be held in Young later this year.

Water discolouration update

Hilltops Council continue to work with Goldenfields Water toward a solution to water discolouration. We assure residents that their tap water is safe to drink despite being discoloured. Spring Creek Bypass open

Council advises motorists that use the Spring Creek Road Bridge in Young that the bridge bypass is now open to all traffic.The Spring Creek Bridge is now closed to all vehicles.Motorists are to note access to Spring Creek Road and roads adjoining this road is to be made via MacKenzie and Glensloy Streets and the new bypass road to Spring Creek Road.Access to residents in McVeigh Street from Templemore and Spring Street remains unchanged.
