Hilltops Council Young Administration Building Solar Panel Installation Works - Pedestrian Access

Council advise that a scissor lift will be in use tomorrow (Friday 20 September 2019) at the rear of Hilltops Councils Administration Building in Young to lift solar panels to the building roof from 6.00am onwards.

GARAGE SALE TRAIL LAUNCHES IN HILLTOPS REGION

Hilltops Council is part of Australia’s biggest community and sustainability event, Garage Sale Trail on Saturday 19 October and Sunday 20 OctoberResidents are encouraged to put secondhand first to reduce waste, the number of new products made and the overall impact of stuff on the planetRegistrations are free and open now for households, schools, community groups and anyone who is up for a weekend of fun

Murrumburrah to unveil Mackay Sculpture

A bronze, life size sculpture of Major-General, the Honourable James Alexander Kenneth Mackay C.B., O.B.E., V.D., F.R.G.S. will be officially unveiled at the Light Horse Memorial in Murrumburrah on Saturday 31 August 2019 at 11am.

Tarrants Gap Road Bridge open

Council advise that the bridge works on the northern end of Tarrants Gap Road are now complete, allowing the road to be re opened to all traffic. This project will enable increased access to motorists in this area, especially after periods of heavy rain where the previous causeway would be submerged, preventing through vehicle movements. The bridge project was funded by the Federal Government Roads to Recovery grant program. Council thank motorists for their patience with the detour put in place during this period.
