Sealed Road Repairs

Western Garabaldi Bridge on Murringo Road guard rail repairs. Olympic Highway segment marker sign replacement. MR78 minor patching repairs.
Eastern Patching at Taylors Flat Road. Cold mix patching on various roads. MR380 Cunningar Road drainage works.
Southern Cold mix patching various roads.

Motorists are advised Roadwork Speed Limits are enforceable by the NSW Police. Speed should be reduced and caution should be exercised when travelling through roadwork sites.

Construction Works

Western  Binalong St Lane and Willawong Street Lane Kerb and guttering and sealing works. Milvale Road vicinity of Tubbul Road and Highbank Lane intersection. Table drain maintenance at Crowther. Shoulder grading Olympic Highway various locations.
Eastern No construction projects due to other works.
Southern Footpath in Lucan Street Albury Street to Binlaong Street. Water main in Albury Street Redbank to Short Street. Street kerb and gutter at Ambulance Station. Building maintenance

Water main installation is continuing on the Olympic Highway. The works are expected to be completed by the end of July 2017.

Planned pesticide use by Council works crews and contractors until week ending Thursday 6th July 2017 will include the use of Round Up, Brush Off, Amitrol, Weedmaster, Dicamba, Grazon, Basta, Primo, MCPA and Broadstrike and Fusilade for herbicide control. Confidor for Aphid and Access for wild fruit tree control on:

  • All roads in Hilltops Council – Young, Boorowa and Harden area, Council Parks, Ovals, Laneways and some town areas;
  • All Villages, Rest Areas and Reserves; and
  • Old General Cemetery.
  • Rural and Regional roads

Naturalure Fruit Fly Bait will be used in the above areas to target the control of fruit fly.

In accordance with SSNPA’s Pesticide Notification Plan signs and flashing lights will be provided on vehicles applying pesticides, signs placed to inform the public where required, and escort warning vehicles will be used for the 2016 road shoulder program.

Drivers should exercise extreme caution when passing these vehicles.
